Spring weather was late this year in Europe. But the spring sun finally directed its rays on the north of France last week. And number of trees began to bloom in parks and the gardens of Paris, as these magnificent magnolias photographed on the Champs de Mars gardens, near the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
This photograph, as following one, was taken with an ultra wide-angle Sigma (10-20 mm), with a polarizing filter. This lens is particularly suitable for shooting cityscapes and monuments, and its use is also still quite playful.
Despite the freezing temperatures of the last days in Europe, and the still gloomy weather, we are now in the spring, at least on paper, since 2013 the spring equinox is on March 20.
To illustrate this new season, here’s a beautiful photo of magnolia. This shrub is often one of the first to bloom in early spring (from February or March for deciduous species).
