I just add in the flower photos category an album comprising all photos of flowering trees (or shrubs in bloom) published on the site. Such an explosion of spring colors ..

New design for the blog

I think many of you have noticed it the blog now uses another WordPress template (Amazing Grace), who seems far more airy and pleasant to read. I still have to do a few cosmetic changes, but the new design is already functional. However, if you encounter some problems in the use or navigation, please let me know.

Spring Equinox

Et voilà, we are March 20 and the spring equinox it is just today at 11:44AM in Paris. Night will equals the day, and days will become longer and longer … and also more beautiful: first buds, trees or flowers in fields, explosions of colors, mild temperatures and the end of cold and gray winter.

It’s time to enjoy the spring photos currently published in the gallery. And I hope this season will allow me to add many other spring pictures and desktop wallpapers.

2008 was for Photo-Paysage.com and its English version Landscape-Photo.net a record year, with a number of combined unique visitors who pass the symbolic number of one million (1,062,851 unique visitors to be exact). Once again, thank you all for your loyalty and for the hundreds of messages of encouragement that you sent me or posted in the guest book during the past year.

2008 is a year when I doubled the number of pictures published in the gallery of Photo-Paysage.com & Landscape-Photo.net, and I hope to share with you in 2009 many more photographs of nature and landscapes.

2008 was also a year of change for all of us. First the bursting of the financial bubble, and the hard fall of the economy that succeeded it. An economic crisis that never ends, and many people continue and will continue to suffer its consequences! This can only be a source of great concern for all of us. But a crisis can also be an unexpected opportunity to improve a flawed economic system, a system void any sense of humanity. This year was also quite a change in the election of Barack Obama, a so great symbol… American election can also be a source of hope when it comes to fight in 2009 against another crisis : the ecological crisis.

Rightly, many predict that 2009 will be a pivotal year in order to protect our environment and respond effectively to climate change: at the end of the year in Copenhagen the world will decide -or not- to acquire the necessary resources to the fight against global warming. Therefore hope that these political leaders will make the right choice ! Our future will depend on this !

Until then, I wish everyone a happy new year 2009!

WordPress upgraded to version 2.7

The engine of Landscape-Photo.net blog, WordPress, has been updated to its last version 2.7. The only changes that seems to appear are in the admin pages, and my be transparent for blog readers. Anyway, if you encounter any problem browsing this blog, please feel free to tell me.

e-cards feature deactivated

Since a few days, some spam bots are using e-card feature. To stop these abuses, I decided to no longer continue the ecard feature until the CMS coppermine offers a more secured e-card tool. Please apologise for inconvenience.
