These are trails like this that allow access from the road to the beaches between Carnon and La Grande Motte in the Hérault. These access bordered with canisses protect trampling vegetation which sets the dunes lidos of the Petit and Grand Travers. This littoral sand beach would have seen his back up to forty meters over the past two decades. Some put the decline on the backs of tourists trampling dune vegetation (this vegetation protects the sand dunes from erosion), but also global warming and rising sea levels. To protect these beaches their access (and also access to the road behind the dunes) may be limited in the future. Probably the price required to protect the beach and its dunes.

Dunes protected by fences that redirect access to the beaches of the Petit and Grand travers across from the nearby road.
