In the series : protecting the environment by selecting what we put in our plate, to limit the consumption of beef allows both to save thousands of liters of water, and also to combat global warming. Indeed, to produce 1kg of beef, we need a total of between 10,000 and 15,000 liters of water, and more than one liter of oil. To this must be added that the cattle are very high methane gas producers, and cereals used to feed them also emits methane (due to massive nitrogenous fertilizer use), that has an even greater impact on global warming than CO ².

It is better to reduce its consumption of beef, but when we want to eat some, it is also much better to put in his plate a high quality meat, of course issued from organic farming. So doing things that are more environment friendly does not necessarily mean sacrifices. ;-)
