Since 2 past years, I took over than 14,000 digital photos, whose ~8 to 9,000 are nature and landscape photos (more than in the past 20 years when I did practice film photography). Most of them were test photos, or same picture shoot with differents parameters (exposure bracketing or compensation, manual parameters or built-in programs, frame…). Its a huge amount of work to select nice ones, that should be displayed on the website. Also, as I am only amateur and as I consider I still need a lot of improvements in my photography practice, my difficult is to choose photos which retranscribe the feeling that gave me the places, the area, the landscape, the forest, the environment around where I was when the picture was taken. I also still need (a lot and a lot of) practice and improvement skill in PhotoShop photo fixes, to keep the image as conform and as the reality is. I avoid at maximum image modifications, and try to retouch only contrast, lightning, and color saturation. On this point, if someone can give me tips to remove digital noise without removing details in the photo (example fine details of leafs in trees), his/her advise will be welcome.
10 new large wallpapers were added in the photo-gallery. Here are photos from several areas : Cevennes in south of France (Causse Mejean uplands/plateau), Austrian alps, and countryside + forest in north of France. Naturally, your comments in the blog articles, the guestbook, and under the pictures in the portfolio itself are welcome.
I hope you’ll like them
